Frequently asked questions

Useful answers before you start.

Start here for the practical details, then follow the service guides for a closer look.

How many printers do you have?

Our Leeds workshop has a fleet of 20+ printers. FDM, large-format FDM and resin printing are available. We do not publish separate machine counts or numerical print envelopes for each process.

Are the workshop images real photographs?

The new workshop scene is an AI-generated illustration of an imagined setting. It is labelled beside the image and is not a photograph of our premises. The business facts are stated separately from the illustration.

Are these examples customer projects?

No. Each is an original hypothetical design study using a fictional brief. We keep confidential customer projects private; these are not anonymised NDA projects or claims about completed work.

Can you promise that my lid will fit?

A model and a render alone do not prove physical fit. Specify the mating dimensions and desired behaviour, then agree how the fit will be checked for the actual material, process and part. There is no universal clearance to copy into every design. Prusa's guidance

What should I include with an STL or STEP file?

Give the intended units, overall size, revision, quantity, important interfaces and use conditions. Include a marked-up view or drawing showing where critical dimensions are taken. Use the file formats currently offered by the quote form; contact CAD help if the format or geometry needs discussion.

Can a rough sketch be enough for a tray?

It can start a CAD enquiry and explain the layout. It cannot establish unmeasured object sizes or decide the final clearance. List what is known and what still needs measuring; a print quote needs an appropriate model.

Can I get an online quote?

Yes. The existing quote journey starts with contact details, then model upload, available options and an official quote. Use Start an online quote. For geometry creation or changes, begin with CAD help.

Which materials and finishes can I order?

The online FDM catalogue offers PLA and PETG in black or white. The quote journey also provides the print settings and delivery choices for your model. See online order options. Resin, larger parts and special grades, colours or finishes need discussion for the actual model; the educational material families below are not all an orderable catalogue.

Do you offer collection or workshop visits?

No. Orders are supplied by delivery, with no collection or workshop visiting service.

Do you print at weekends, and what does 48-hour dispatch mean?

Printing operates seven days a week. The 48-hour dispatch clock starts when payment is received and counts during business hours on all seven days. This is dispatch, not a promise of arrival within 48 hours. Check the timing for your order and the selected delivery service. See turnaround and delivery.
